Are Parasites death?

I've seen lately most of the parasites that used to rank well, no longer do, I had run several searches in different niches with the same results, almost finding 0 results of any parasite ranking, so I was wondering if anyone still have success with parasites.

until last year I use parasites to promote my affiliate offers, I used blogger which was easy to rank for keywords often difficult, after updating google all my posts block in the last page serp, I tried all the methods to rank my parasite no success. I even created new parasite on other platform without success, I also think that the parasite site no longer works.
 
Wordpress.com and Medium.com still working fine.

saying parasites are dead is like saying websites dont rank anymore... its just a matter of how well you promote them, or which site you use. just switch to new ones if one host stops working, thats part of the game.

I'm not saying they will be forever death, but certainly those I used to see around are no longer indexing as they used to, same as most web 2.0, remember the days when Wordpress, Blogger and Tumblr actually ranked on the first pages... now is really weird to see any. So that is what I'm saying. Any method including spamming can still track traffic, but not as it used to be. So it's not the same having a .com domain, than using a parasite that is no longer trustworthy in the eyes of G.

I would try different platforms or maybe competition is too high. Search "clash of clans apk hack" and starting from page 3 there's a bunch of parasites still ranking. Like I said wordpress.com and medium.com still work fine for me. Could also be your link building, I suggest more PBNs less diversification
