Do page visits have any weight when they rank your site in search results? What about bookmarks? What else has weight?

Page visits alone mean nothing. What is important: Where the page visits come from (need lots of unique sources), how many times it has been favorited, positive feedback. It never hurts to build backlinks, add social bookmarks etc to your page. At the very list you will get more traffic and a possible sale.

Traffic alone means nothing. I have tested several methods.

New listings from New users rank higher at 1st.

Pages with Video intro's rank higher than those without.

Pages with a high combination of likes and positive feedback rank higher in the long run but since New User listing rank higher even high feedback high like gigs end up on the 3rd and 4th pages sometimes.

Once your're featured though you seem to stay there for a while, though I have yet to get a gig featured.
