Are not Autoblogs Illegal?

I read somebody showed the method of earning money using autoblogs. But i during my search about that what are Autoblogs, i saw somebody posted an article saying autoblogs are Illegal.

I just wanted to know is it correct?

Short answer: No.

Though you can get in some trouble if you are using 100% copied content (not criminal though)
 
A friend of mine got three and half years inside, just for using an RSS feed.

He was out in two for good behaviour but it scared me no end...
 
And he did excatly what? And do you have a source of that? ;)

Use an automated spinner could be illegal. If you are taking content from sources that allow articles to be published like ezine articles and you leave the link to the authors site and do not change the text then this is not illegal.

The only trouble you can get into with autblogs is accidently publishing slanderous material or breaching someones copyright. For you to get sued though they would have to prove loss of earnings which is unlikely, soon as someone complains just remove the offending material.

Rubbish. The purpose of an rss feed is to syndicate your site. He must have done more than publish an rss feed to get 2 years playing broke back cowboy with the boys from the pen.
 
Autoblogs are completely I*L*L*E*G*A*L , since they don't have Greencards! Google must secure the borders before authorizing Autoblogs!

Yeh, now i understand autoblogs are illegal. So guys...get original rather then using RSS feed from anyone....
 
Yeah no they are not illegal.

If you scrape someone else's content without rewriting it then you could be asking for trouble, but all you have to do is remove the offending content and you're fine.

I have been running autoblogs for several years now with only one or two run ins.
 
I got two of them and I'm still a free man. :)

Anyway, illegal or not, I think it's uber hard to monetize from them.
 
I don't think they're illegal. But it's totally up to you to decide.
 
I have a lot of autoblogs but I can still manage them with the 30 minutes of computer time per week I get in the slammer...
