Is link pyramid a black hat method? does it really damage your site's serp ranking? am I better off just creating a bunch of web 2.0 with spun articles on each property?

To my knowledge, any link that is created unnaturally is black hat. I'd assume anything requiring the use of spun content would also be considered black hat. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

link pyramids don't hurt your ranks, but the contrary they increase your ranks.. well ofcourse if handled properly..

yes, you can put spun articles on your web 2.0s.. it works just great!

I don't think a link pyramid in and of itself is "blackhat". You could have a whitehat link pyramid, just not typically the case. :)

I believe that if you are making quality links with using quality content, then of course link pyramid is safe to use, but make sure to work on the quality of the links pyramid.

Should 60% copyscape be enough for the spun articles?

Link pyramid is not a black hat method, i guess what you want to say is spamming but it isn't if done manually and links not send out to thousands of sites..

Link pyramid is not a black hat method, mate! just spamming link only. Pay attention more to content, it does not mean that you arent allowed to use the spun article. Take them from readable articles and post to good sites. Do all manually, not tools.
