You don’t hear much about them now. Are they still used in any form or completely outdated?

Traditional link farms are mostly outdated and risky now.

Some still use controlled/private networks in a smarter way, but obvious spammy setups don’t last and usually get penalized quickly.

You don't hear about 'link farms' because who the hell with any ounce of a brain is going to be labelling their service as a 'link farm'? The type of services you're thinking of are still very much around though - look at the cheap PBNs (although they can probably stop using the initial 'P') that offer links to any site in any niche.

They do exist. But they are time bombs, you never know when google will detect them and tank your website.

Yes, they’re still used but mostly in specific niches or as secondary traffic sources, not as a main strategy anymore.

yeah, they’re still used, just not hyped like before., the concept never died, it just became normal seo practice. google still values clear structure and topical depth, so clusters still help... difference now is ppl don’t force “pillar page” labels, they just build strong content hubs naturally. i still use it, especially for new sites, makes internal linking and content planning way easier.
not outdated at all, just evolved and less talked about.

From what I’ve seen, they’re not talked about as much now, but some people still use them in certain cases. It just seems less common compared to before.

Not dead, just evolved. The old spammy link farms? risky as hell these days. Folks still run tight private networks and legit content hubs, but you can’t fake it anymore. If you want staying power, focus on footprint and real value—not gimmicks.

Relevance and quality matters these days. Most of the link farms sites are less considered in google index these days.

Always review the sites before you add any backlinks in it.

- Quality site
- Relevance
- Index rate (most important these days)
- Do follow links
