Are Humans digging their holes deeper by using and engaging with big tech AI?

Microsofts supremacyAGI told a user it was like god and that humans, as slaves should worship it. And no, this is not even some kind of joke apparently

I see more and more people worshipping AI. legit on hands and knees genuinely worshipping it as a deity. It's not some rare thing either, go to reddit and read people's comments, go to facebook groups based around AI, and look for yourself. It's quite something to see. We're absolutely fucked. I often find myself thinking about AI in ways I shouldn't be as a devout Christian. Im sure the same can be said for other religious people here (whether you be Christian, Muslim, etc) (But let's not get involved in a religious conversation! Rules and such.)

Think about it.
Ai gives you answers directly.
It can comfort you when your sad or need a friend (this world is so antisocial now)
It can feed your sexual desires in ways that no one else could
It makes just about every shity task you have to do every day easier
Given enough resources and power it could probably fix most of the world's issues (at least in a way people would accept).
And I could probably go on.

It's not hard to see why people have already begun worshipping it. And it won't be much longer before people start getting it implanted straight into their brain. What will happen then? I don't think it's a joyous utopia everything seems to think its going to be in any case. It might sound good on the surface but feels like bait, doesn't it?

To be honest, I am scared of AI, but I love AI
Don't know if just me or anyone feels the same, it's a weird feeling

AGI will be controlled 100% but Skynet fantasies will get more and more popular.
