Are google images public domain?

    Just a thought that pop'd into my head. Are Google images public domain?

    Im interested in hearing this (I google'd , couldn't find a solid answer)

    Considering Google scrapes images from around the net, I'm guessing quite a few of them are copyrighted or trademarked.

    So no, they aren't public domain - Hopefully I understood the question correctly lol

    No but people are constantly using images from my site and I usually dont do anything about it. In the case of the plane flying into a building down the street from my apartment (Austin, Tx not New York, NY) I had to enforce it because I went through a lot of trouble to get those pics...

    But for the most part none of the images on Google are public domain as far as I know.

    You could also try Flickr, using the advanced search look for "creative commons." Those images are public domain.
