Are FB Ads for Fanpages worth it?

Hello, has anyone had any experience with paying for Ads for fanpages? Especially brand new ones, for that kickstart to boost their page? I know reach is down, so some people use Ads just to boost that, but what if you just want to get a new base? I like the targetting and specifics about them. Thanks guys

I use google Trends to get target locations when boosting posts and page for likes. It works because you are targeting people you are most likely interested in what you are sharing on those pages.

Post images and boost them... while using the the Google trends technique.
