Are domains that were deindexed due to dead webhosts easy to get re-indexed?

I just realized I had a good domain that was created in 2003 with 4K backlinks made in 2005-2008. I remember it ranking well back then. The partner I had at the time ran off with most of my domains but apparently forgot to steal this one. The domain is de-indexed right now and I'm guessing it's due to the webhosting account housing the wordpress site was never renewed in 2008.

What's the best way to get this domain indexed again? Should I build up the site with the same link structure as the original site and try to upload as many of the old posts I can find and then submit the sitemap and then ping with some new posts?

    One post should be sufficient.

Should be easy to re-index but de-indexed domains usually don't hold on to any of their old trust/age bonuses.

I've found these types of domains the easiest to re-index, as they haven't really been penalized but just temporarily fallen off the map. Like was stated above, a few posts should do the trick to get the site re-indexed, and it'll return with the same PR, too! :)

I think you can resurrect the website especially if it's the same content and topic. However, keep in mind that algorythms have changed, so maybe the tecniques you used back then, are not as effective today, or maybe not.

    Good luck!
