    Hey people!

So basically I have been working for myself at home for a few years now already and I'm at the point where I have a decent income, I am not rich by any means but being only 22 years old and still living with my parents I am able to save a ridiculous amount of money each year. While my sales are constantly going up and that I could probably live comfortably with my current job, I am still not completely satisfied with the amount of money I am making.

Anyways, I am strongly considering investing all of my savings into a cam site like Chaturbate/MFC/etc, from my understanding cam sites can be extremely expensive to maintain but that's something I think I could handle not having any bills to pay. I was thinking of hiring professionals to build a website with a simple and modern design for me, from my experience most current cam sites look messy and look too complicated, which is one of the reason why Chaturbate works so well in my opinion, It's simple and straightforward. So basically I would want to recreate Chaturbate with a more colorful and modern design and without It's flaws, make it one of the simplest and straightforward cam site there is, one that you would make an account on and then get straight to business without getting confused by the design model. Not just make another cam site but make an innovative one, one that is more dynamic, on which there are always things going on such as events, giveaways, etc.
I have many ideas in my head, I think if I could make the very website I have in mind and somehow get some of the popular girls from the other cam sites to try it out It would be a success. Back to reality though, what are you guys opinion on this? Too risky? Too many competitors? Too expensive?

edit; sorry for my grammar, I am Estonian and speak 2 languages before English.

Well, that's what I can ambition. Chaturbate generate a LOT of money. It will all depends on how much money you're ready to invest. You want to compete with those big guys in the mainstream world ? $100K might not even be enough for starter.

Now, if you have money, not a lot, but yet enough to start a decent project and you want to get in the porn/cam industry: Get into fetish stuff. There are competitors, but we're not talking about multi millions dollar websites. Get your own girls and sponsor them. Make a nice looking website and make them whore themselves on mfc and chaturbate.

When I saw the title , i thought you will be talking about making a site with camvideos & monetize it . LOOL !
but as you mentionned you wanna jump into that big industry , all i can tell you is to don't asking people again if it's worth or not ?? it's OK to ask for advices from the experts but going on a road still your choice & ur opinion .
Secondly, Just be ready not just for the money budget part , also on the Adult industry you must be aware of the laws & rules .
Which you the good luck, maybe sometime we'll see your affiliate network moving here on BHW !.

With limited starting budget I would higly recommend you to:

    • join a camsite's affiliate network
    • purchase a domain
      • do keyword research in GA 's Keyword Planner
      • do keyword research in KeyWordSpy (what keywords are being bid on by high rollers like Cams.com)
      • pick a highly searched keyword based on your research
      • buy a domain at GoDaddy containing that keyword
        • if its not available, drop some extra words in: my, cams, girls, sex, online, et... you get it
    • set up a whitelabel site in your webmaster account
    • connect your newly purchased domain to your whitelabel
    • set a design that meets your expectations and standard

These will cost you only the domain name, which is around $14 / year. Now you have a working cam site with full of Models earning you money, hosted by the cam company. The hardest part is getting traffic to your site.

    Traffic generation:
    • via reddit posts
    • via niche related pron forums
    • via GA paid ppc campains
    • my favourite: buy expiring domains with traffic from DomCop.com
    • do a cam review site - it is a traffic magnet. I can show you an example wich looks oldschool but generates around $16000 worht of traffic / month.

I know an adult cam site affiliate network which pays 40% - 60% / $200 PayPerSignup. If you are interested, send me a private message and I will send you the link.

After the site raised some serious capital you can get independent and cut the middle man, start building your own pron cam empire. Good luck with your journey!

OP I would suggest you start with a white label option of chaturbate and then work up your way from there

dont build a cam site, i doubt you manage to save up enough money to open one.

promoting cam sites is still a good idea, but choose revshare,

Sorry for off topic but why are you still living with your parents if you earn decent money at 22? :/

Way too much competition from huge companies with established websites. You've got to ask yourself...why would they choose your website?

Don't listen to all of these bullshit responses. If you want to try it, TRY IT.

Obviously you should start small and carve out your own niche in the space, otherwise you won't be able to compete against the heavy weights trying to offer the exact thing in the exact way they do.

Starting with a white label is an option, there's nothing that stops you from doing both.

Just don't spend all of your money creating your own cam set-up.

Create a niche test it, then invest in it.

    Cheers

Hm, I do not really get what was insulting with me giving detailed suggestions. Was it a problem I did not want to promote any webcam affiliate site openly? It's ok, then I write it here: AWEmpire.com / LiveJasmin's affiliate network.

I hope I wont get any warning for this.

Chances are you wanted to send them your referral link which is against the rules. Never ask someone to "PM you" to get a link to an affiliate program. You will be banned faster than CEOSam makes money.

    Thanks for the answers guys.
I do have a decent amount of money to invest into it, not anywhere close to 100k but at least over half of it and I could obviously invest most of my current income into it.

As to why people would choose my website over another? Innovation in my opinion, do great things that other cam sites have never done, offer bonuses, make dynamic events, improve the application system, make it look better, etc. The goal is to make a website that function better than the rest and then somehow get some of the popular girls from Chaturbate/MFC to try it out and spread the words, possibly by offering them a certain amount of money or by promising them some things in the long term. Give people an incentive to move to my website, make them believe that they could eventually make more money here than the other websites if it was to become popular. A starting cam website would also be a good way to recruit some of the pretty girls that are new to camming and are constantly in the last pages because of it, since there wouldn't be as many people on my website at the beginning they would have a chance to be seen on the front page and eventually gain popularity as the website grows.

Honestly I've never owned a website and I'm probably just talking out of my a$$ but It feels like It could work, It could either make me a fortune or simply be an expensive mistake but as the greedy mofo that I am I'm very tempted to get all my savings and get to work.

My parents are almost never home and I get to eat for free, so why not? Gives me more money to invest in my current business, which is mostly trials and errors when trying new things, I'd rather spend "rent money" on product samples than paying bills and food. They're pretty supportive, they don't feel like I am using them, they feel like they're helping me achieve something in the end and are more than happy to do it.

I wish my parents would have let me build my porn empire in their living room. Be ambitious if you want. There's plenty of solid advice in the thread already though. One of the hardest lessons to learn is what can happen to $50k when you try to play games with big fish. I'd also suggest white label introduction unless and until you can build a solid enough infrastructure to cut them out.

I don't think 50K is enough (server, customer service, and programmer support costs).

There actually is a company that allows you to make your quasi-own cam store if memory serves me right. It takes care of the customer support and programming side in exchange for a monthly fee. I will try to find it when I get home, I am at work.

A cheaper alternative is creating a studio (a group of women who work for you, you are their agent/manager and responsible for training, distributing pay/bonuses, etc).

I can't post links, so if you contact a cam site called webcams apparently they can hook you up with what I was referring to. You will be able to create your own cam site.

Avchat seems to be another solution.

White label cam service solutions might be what you are looking for.

Tube sex is the email as WebCams are text messaging & social apps in comparison to past realization of improved technologies.

Therefore Cams and especially any Whitelabel tube will work as long as you send targeted traffic to them.
