Okay I need help with my arcade site. I do not know even where to start.

I obviously need to build the traffic but should I do it the same way as a blog?
Should I scrapebox the frack outta the site?

I feel so lost with an arcade site. I am trying to continually upload new games that I find on the internet but its proving little help to increase traffic. I have about 600+ games on there as of now.

I get less traffic per day than I have fingers on my left hand.
    Code:
    http://www.greatgamesnow.net
And please don't even get me started about the earnings on this money pit.

Any help is appreciated and I am willing to do whatever it takes to turn this into a profitable site.

dont wish to give you bad news but arcade sites sucks big time..there are too many
plus the payout sucks even more. its all pennies. you'll make more writing about acne on blogspot than running one of these.

but since you asked for help i think the best way is to have it promote through facebook
get someone with tons of likes on a fanpage to promote it for you.
add facebook like button on each game..that can drive additional traffic once
    someone likes it.

Is there anything that you can do to make your site unique and stand out from the rest? If so, do that. Perseverance is a big part of success.

i was going to start an arcade site earlier this year. i actually started it, without looking on google. when i had a look and saw how many other ones there were, i changed my mind. i scrapped it.

I have the same issue with my arcade site, but no trAffic. My main motivation to build it came a year ago when my home was broken into a year ago and my ps3 was stolen along with other valuable things and i have not bought another since.

General Arcade sites aren't worth doing now. There really is too much competition for VERY established sites.

Google also recently started enforcing a large space between the games and the adverts which reduced the CTR of these sites.

If you really want to get into arcade sites now you need to get in ahead of the pack.

Find an iphone game that is very new and popular and then find all the flash/html5/unity games that are identical to this and make a niche site dedicated to these games.

    for example check out http://www.google.com/search?q=angry+birds+online

1 of those sites is mine and makes me $$$

p.s. do some keyword research too...... nobody searches for "great games now"......... :bigok:

I have 5 arcade sites and I can confirm what Aspirin said - it's not worth it. But if I have to share a tip on how to get the traffic for the - I'd say via game sponsorship.

One of my companies produces flash games. Sometimes when there's a game that nobody buys for a while - we release it ourselves. Even the worst game that I myself can whip up in a few hours brings in traffic. Plus you can add Mochi ads and earn some additional cash that way.
