    I have no idea how they measure this but I'm pretty sure the McDonalds and cocacola logos are much more recognized worldwide than Apple.

    Go to a tiny village in Africa and ask about cocacola, they all know it. Ask about Apple, they'll give you a fruit.

    This report is just about brand value, not brand awareness. If it was brand awareness, i agree that mcdonalds and cocacola are going to be 1-2 easy.

    I have never been convinced with how they measure brand value. To me it's just another excuse to sell "Top Something" magazines.

    I see where you're coming from, except, how does one define brand value? Isn't brand value directly linked to brand awareness itself?

    Since a brand has little value if many people aren't aware of it. I.e. the two go hand in hand.
