Apparently Paypal thinks I own a company and limited my account.

Asking me company details, company website & asking to send them proof of bills/invoices where it shows my name + address + my company name.

    I mean...

I don't even own a company, I'm not even working for one. Hell, my paypal was listed as particular account not even commercial/business account.

What the fuck am I supposed to do now?

Honestly I doubt customer service has the rights to lift account limitations but I guess I have to go with that

I mean, I do sell shit and receive payments there but that doesn't mean you have to own a company or are you only allowed to sell things if you own a company?

Well if you're buying and selling, you're a business and PayPal have clocked on

In the U.K. You'd be paying if caught

Odd eBay sales doesn't count if rare

Well if you're selling an old TV on eBay then no

If you're selling the same items or services then you're a business and you will be told that by PayPal and most likely you're local tax man

I didn't know any of this? So you have to be a business to sell commercially? I don't think so, you can safely sell on your personal account...like a home business or something....something's wrong here.

A home business is still a business lol

In the U.K. A home business or one man band is called a sole trader... over a threshold of earning and you pay tax because you're a business

    There's partnerships
    Limited company etc

All business - if you're generating an income off you're own back you're a business

I don't see how Paypal is related to my local tax man, hell, not even my country's bank mess with my taxes let alone Paypal for minor transactions that happen every few days.

Yea I should be paying a tax directly to my country but that's not for Paypal to collect nor take care of. (And btw I do pay tax)

I'm officially listed as a freelance worker in my country, not working for any company and all the money I bring in is from my own work & shit I sell, I'm not affiliated to any company.

    Exactly what I'm thinking.

A freelancer is a worker... literally.

A business is an official company. Which I'm not

    Lol I'm out

A freelancer is a business, an employee works for someone else but a freelancer doesn't get sick pay or holiday pay, a freelancer invoices and deals with their own taxes etc... unlike an employee where the employer deals with all of that.

    So you're BST isn't a business right? You don't make a profit?

Alright, let's say that a freelancer is indeed a business for the sake of this thread.

    Even so.

What would be my non existant company details?

That's bullshit! How long did they limit your account? So you're not setup as a business? I was going to say go to your local town clerk to register a business.

Does anyone know how much is the most you can withdraw from you PP business account to your checking?
