is it worth it to ping the sites every 3 days? It's just 2bucks a month.

Would also be interested in experiences with this. Did you see an improvement (i.e. more traffic) over only using the WP built in pinging?

i use it for websites which dont ping themselves, not wp.

Ping is only a way to tell sites that you have made an update. It really won't make a difference, unless you want to notify everything NOW. Eventually all the sites will know about your site's updates.
