Claude can now integrate with Google Ads to help analyse and optimise campaigns.

We already have Codex through ChatGPT Enterprise. Has anyone connected it with Google Ads for similar optimisation? Curious to know how well it works in practice.

Yes, Codex can work with Google Ads, but not as a plug and play button.

You must connect and pull campaign/search-term/keyword data, then let Codex analyse it and generate the changes. so technically YES , you can build a full optimisation loop.

Interesting. I’d be curious to hear how well Codex handles the actual campaign data in practice, especially when it comes to identifying useful optimisation opportunities rather than just summarising performance. Has anyone tested it on a decent-sized account?

the api integration is the easy part; i'd be more interested in attribution, anomaly detection, and whether it can safely execute changes against live campaigns.

I have not tried codex with google ads yet, but I would be interested to see how well it handles real campaign data and optimization.

Yeah I’ve been running Codex with Google Ads through Adspirer MCP for a couple months now. Pulls performance, spots wasted spend and search terms pretty clean, can even build out new campaigns paused for review

It’s very interesting to find out how good it is? And is it worth the money spent?

yes, works solid for audits and bulk suggestions, but tbh I still double check every change because pure Ads data alone can miss the bigger picture. Pair it with GA4 and it gets way more useful

Been curious about it. Setup seems a bit more involved than just switching on an integration but that's kinda expected.
A pretty strong tool to have tbh, though I'd still want an actual qualified person doing the reviews and optimisation decisions. Good and strong tool nevertheless.

I’d connect it through the Google Ads API and start with read only reporting before letting Codex make changes.
