I know all the rage is with people screaming "YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE KEYWORD IN THE DOMAIN OR YOU WILL FAIL! AND YOU WILL GET AIDS!"

Now, I'm seeing a lot of people saying you HAVE to get a legit domain via Godaddy/Hostgator/Etc (who ever you use)

So, is anyone still using Bloggers/Wordpresses with decent organic search results? I find it funny when people just talk about how you HAVE to have a domain with the keyword in it and how free blogging platforms such as blogger/wp can't get great results

It's actually known that blogger blogs rank pretty high since blogger is owned by Google. The only problem is you can't do with them what you want without worrying about getting it taken down.

I'm curious to hear more insight on this.

I've read that not long ago Blogger made it damn near impossible to spam Bum Marketing type posts and rank highly anymore. =( True/False?

One of my Blogger sites does very well. I see anywhere from 1,000-1,500 unique visitors a day.

At first all it was, was copy and paste content. Now I pretty much make a post a day with unique content. Ranks very well for a lot of keywords.

I think they would be good for 1st tier sites with quality pr comments pointing to them.
The usual pr-n\a doesn't do much.

I've just started a blog.com tonight actually.I am aiming to put decent content and updates but my aim is for PR so outbound links are powerful. An increase in traffic could help me add some products but it's not my main aim.
I have seen PR5 blog.bom blogs which is why I opened one tonight.Yeah it'll take time etc but that's an almighty powerful link source for any niche and if you're traffic orientated you can bet at PR6 you'll be visible.

I am not sure about blogger and blogspot, but I know a free website that ranks very well on a very competitive keyword (payday loans)

Plus the website has only one page with long content, about 2500 words, and the content has been spun to the point where no even one sentence that makes sense when you read it.

    The website is *****-yola,com
