This is from an overall larger writing project I'm working on. Just finished the second revision and I figured I would share it with my BHW friends to give you a quick break from marketing. Check it out and let me know what you think!

    Title: LETTER OF INTENT

    So what do you think?

no i dont think there is a mix of chemicals like that you can put onto a paper and then let it dry and then have it kill someone

Pretty good, however the twist wasn't that good. Too unlikely to be plausible, therefore I can't believe it. There's no such chemical that acts that way.

Thank you, I meant to show that this guy was a chemist who worked on this compound over the years just for something like this. The idea came from a book I read when I was a kid called 'book of the damned' A writer had laced the pages with LSD and the reader would be pulled into the story as it soaked into their skin.

I know something like what I described probably isn't possible but the idea scared the hell out of me when I was younger. At one point when I was reading that book, I was extremely careful how I held it... just in case lol.

    Anyone here a chemist? :-D

creepy... would make a good 'twilight zone' episode.

this would make for a pretty nifty trick to play on someone
that you hated. jazz it up a bit with some details and you've
got some jelly in the belly.

what would be really cool is if this was worked into a story
where a floundering student was being badgered by his
writing teacher for constantly handing in bad papers. so he
did this to his teacher as payback.

the cops find the teacher's body with the letter clutched in his hand.

serling and hitchcock would be proud. :D

    Love it, that was gold!

As for the chemical compound, look at things like "Ricin" which is made from Castor Beans.

Ah! You see the original Idea was to get someone to hand write this. Then make up a bunch of high quality photo copies, put the letter into an envelope and tape the envelope somewhere in the book with the other stories. I think it would scare the fuck out of some people.

Great story...I normally don't read for entertainment...just knowledge but I like many others was drawn in and wanted to keep reading. I thought about the SAW movies after reading it as it seems like something the killer would do as well.

After reading that I will be opening all strange looking mail with rubber gloves on. Can't be too careful with all the strange f**ks walking round. Nice story by the way. Or is it just a story....?

Nice read Erik. After you sucked me in with your police story a few weeks ago :) I vowed never to come back to the lounge but I have. You got me back.

I liked the twist and I reckon that you would freak some people out. The goal would be to send one out (free of your fingerprints ofcourse) and wait to see what happens. If not news erupts do another one. Eventually someone will flip out and you will make the local news. Why? Stir some shit up. Why not?

Good stuff and keep em' coming.

I look forward towatching you launch your first book on Oprah :)

Welcome back! As tempting as it would be to scare the shit out of someone like that, I think it would get you a be a quick ticket to jail haha.
