Anyone recommend a good hard drive cleaner?

    So I'm suspecting some funny business on my computer so I'm doing a reinstall. (can't be too careful).

    I remember using one that allowed you to specify the number of passes of 1's and 0's rewrites but can't remember what it was called.

    Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

    I have formatted more hard drives in the last decade then I really care to admit. Like savvypro stated above a really good one is Dban, I recall it was Daruks Nuke Boot back in the day, as we all left floppies and swtiched over to cds. You can do multiple wipes like you had mentioned. The program never failed no matter what I had done wrong a few wipes and we were as good as new. Those were the days. :)
