It is very hard to make money off those type of sites as there is so many of them, If you are going to start one, You have to offer something different that no one else is

Yeah I ran one with a buddy of mine a while ago. Lots of problems though like people scamming you, the network not giving you leads when your users actually completed offers (so you have to pay the user anyways out of your own pocket), and they're a lot of work and you would definitely need to have some good programming skills.

Like rthomp said, you are going to have to offer something different and make it unique, like payout in WOW gold or Linden dollars (2nd Life Currency).

All of that aside though if you get good search engine rankings and provide a good service where people tell their friends and refer others, GPT sites can make huge amounts of money. You also develop a large list of future prospects for other money making products. It's definitely a large project, but if you're up to it and feel you can provide something good and different then by all means go for it!

    Hope I helped :D

If it's started and already has got some users and looks pretty good then go for it, but make sure to check it out (look over the site/admin panel/etc) and decide for yourself if you're up to the task. It is a day in and day out job though, testing offers, removing expired offers, putting new ones up, payments, support tickets, etc.

Yeah sure. I posted most of the general information about GPT sites on this thread, but any specific questions feel free to PM and I'll do my best to answer

hey Charlie, thanks for your input. I do realize that this will take up alot of time daily, but I already waste hours so might as well put it to something that can make it big.

I've owned (and sold most) a lot of GPT/other incentive sites. You have to know what you are doing, or at least work with someone who does. Marketing is key- and like the user above said, you need to show the users what makes your site so much better.

Yeah, that particular script which was around at the time is biggest crap I've ever seen. Basically, to install script on your server might get you hacked, due to poor coding.

Anyway, I think it's something you have to do with serious approach.
I'm planning to put up one by the end of the month max, so I'll report back how it went.
