Anyone here make a living of ebay or atleast pay off a mortage or a few cars?

I'm looking for some motivation as I start my ebay journey, me being an ex ebayer making around steady $70 a day selling $15 avg price products. After getting suspended for messing up and getting low DSR's I'm going to go at it again.

My goal is by the end of the yea to have 5 bank accounts, 5 Paypals, and 10 ebay accounts 2 ebay - 1 paypal. All 5 paypals different names and addresss.

I want to earn around $30 profit each account making me $300 a day. Anyone have ever tried this? I know its possible the only part that will stop me will be getting limited but still having accounts as backups just slowing down for a bit. Anyways just want to hear some success stories of memebers here making a living doing this method and past stories. Thanks!

Well, eBay isn't my sole income, but my sales on eBay contribute to my online income to the point where the income is more than livable. If you aren't doing anything that really breaks the rules, you probably don't need more than 2 PayPal accounts. My advice is to use eBay as a tool and not as your only way of selling...

yeah ebay and paypal fees suck thats why im using ebay calculators to see if it will be worth selling some items but as long as im profiting 12-13 bucks per sale im good sell a few per account a day and im golden

not enough business? I see sellers selling tons daily all you need is the right product.

Ebay is still good but highly competitive and very picky now, it's not as fun to me anymore and the stucture has changed big time....however many have made good money on ebay and many still do today. Some years back it was much easier for a newbie to still have a foot in the door but with paypal and ebay and 21 day holds and listing rules it's not only a rough task but that's on top of the competition that you have to get around to sell your stuff that makes it even rougher.
If your product is hot and in BIG demand though it will sell but that's just the 1st part to it now, if your product is replicas, adult items, gift cards, and other items they consider risky or banned then you have to dodge the ebay police so that ebay and paypal won't cut you off and leave u with money on the table that they hold on too. It was so easy back in the day but scammers took over and made it harder and also people made a lot of money so ebay turned corporate and put more rules in place for them to make money.....

But that being said if you are determined, go for it, take it as a learning process at first and keep going from there....through trial and error it can work just like anything else....ebay still has tons of opportunity. And network on there as much as you can that draws attention to you and gets views as well and helps u learn.

Good Luck!

To have a "hot product" is almost irrelevant. You need a "Profitable Product." Some people can sell 100 iPods a week on eBay, but only profit $50 that week after the fee's. Sounds great, until someone scams you and you have to pay $180 for an iPod that someone claims you never sent them.

Finding profitable products sure ain't easy. You find a product, and the next thing you know, 9 other people are selling the same thing and they don't care if they are just making $2.00 in profit instead of $100, as long as they are making the sales. This JUST happened with me with this really nice Bruce Lee Action Figure that was just released. I was doing $230 in profit per sale for about 4 days, doing probably 15 sales a day. Then I made no sales, because someone else was selling it for $210 less than I was.
