hi i would like to start my adventure with media buys, seems like a profitable campaign for CPA. Media buys is like pulse360 or adsonar, anyone ever tried them and have success? I'm not sure where to post about this but would like to learn as much as I can before testing them myself.

I am also thinking about starting to do some media buys. Do you have any useful learning material we could exchange? :)

PPV is barely a media buy.

I have been searching BHW for media buy, and I can't find a clear outline of it. Could someone please point me to the right direction? =)

-- Big media buys usually involve an insertion order, which is basically an agreement. Self-serve platforms like Adsonar and Pulse360 etc, don't require such.

-- In any case, you want a 24hr out clause to protect yo'self.

-- Do math. Calculate your EPC against the potential volume of traffic.

All you gotta do is study what other people are doing. I've seen the same three fucking ads on pulse360 for months, and i'd act on it, but promoting other people's offers is a thing of the past.

Network arbitrage is the new thang.:D

Network arbitrage, like where I take an offer from leadbolt and promote it on peerfly? I thought that wasn't allowed? If so...how much money does it cost to run a campaign like that, whether its a simple zip/email submit or whatever?

    ..........

Also, I just took the plunge and bought myself a nice ad space at the top of a site. It costed $30/month, top 20k in US from alexa and top 78K world wide. Hopefully my $30 investment will pay off =)

qwicksliver you also have to make sure what your advertising is laser targeted. I seen many purchase media buys which are general and lost alot alot of money. So make sure dont only look at the alexa and traffic of a site make sure its targeted to your offer.

Kinda, but not exactly. I'm talkin' about creating your own offer and sending them down a funnel with other offers --which would be your affiliate link to other related cpa offers or it can be anything really.

Take any zip/email submit and follow it through and think about what that advertiser is doing. They send people down a shitty ass funnel of random offers, hoping to get a few conversions to pay you for the traffic you sent and bank the rest.

Now think about how much better a niche targeted funnel would convert. Anyone can create these type of offers, but you must make sure your funnel is converting for you before you take it to the network(s).

The great thing about this is you will also be building a list at the same time which = even more $$.

What I always wonder is, do the advertisers allow this, or are they faking/ blanking the traffic?
