    Hey,

I bought some domains from a guy. The domains are listed on a german site. He gave me his account access. Although I changed the passwords and email, I am not able to change the previous owner's name and country. I want to change them to mine. I am not able to understand the instructions on the site and the seller isn't that net savvy as well. Can someone have a look at the site and let me know. Basically, I am looking to transfer the domains to godaddy so I think I will have to get my correct details first. Therefore, I need to change the name and country. Those areas are simply grayed out so I am not able to change it. Thks in advance!

    Hmm...Site is in French.

When transferring domains, all that you need is the domain key/password from the previous registrar, the owner should be able to provide you with this. You then transfer it with godaddy using this password.

That is the way I usually do it with godaddy and crazydomains.

    Hope this helps

Now, the accounts are in my possession. The seller has nothing to do with it although the account has his name and country listed. The problem here is that the domains on the account are worth thousands of dollars (actually more) so I don't want to take any risk. I am not sure if godaddy or the current registrar will create problems thinking that it's an account hack or something else. So, I want to play it absolutely safe. Get all the information changed first to mine and then inititate the transfer process to godaddy. Also, the seller is in my contact now. He wont be offering after sales support forever. So, I want to do this quick. Although he lacks knowledge, he will help if the process involves some helping hand from him.

From my experience, that sounds like allot of work. In his old account, each domain will have a key/password. Once you find it, head over to godaddy and go for it.

Might take a few days to transfer. Then once it has, change nameservers in godaddy and you are set.
