I have a french niche website and have a hard time ranking it when it barely has any competition (made yt video and went to n#3 in 1 week with no backlinks) however the site is stuck at n#15 with 200-300 backlinks and doesn't go hgiher probably because I have no .fr backlinks ...

Anyone knows any french footprints to get .fr sites?

I'm guessing you are ranking it for google.fr? Need a bit more detail as to what SEO you have done in order to help you.

yea trying to rank it for google.fr

    I'm doing mostly Articles,blog comments,social networks submissions,some microblogs.

    So far I've done:

226 article submissions (some probably were deleted),99 blog comments, 5 social network submissions , 4 microblogs submissions.

However only 2-3 of these backlinks actually are .fr

Simply opt in for local SEO.

And what local SEO means is, it's a way of ranking site on your local Google country such as Google.de, fr, ca e.t.c

Since you are trying to rank for Google.fr, get french content on an authority domain hosted in france, i can hear you screaming way too expensive.

Well, i wouldn't advice if your niche isn't worth it but if truly your niche isn't competitive then one network can rank you for one keyword.
