    Hi guys & girls.

So I'm going to be in Vegas in a couple of weeks with some friends, and I need your advice in where to go...Non-gambling related.

When we're there it's one of my friends birthdays... Are there any really nice bars/ restaurants / night clubs that stand out for you?

Equally do you have any other suggestions on what could be a good birthday surprise for him?

    We're mid 20's.

    Thanks

I love Vegas. There a a million things to do that don't involve gambling. If you've never been before just walking the strip and looking at the casinos will fill a day easy. All the top tier clubs will be amazing, but if you're doing bottle service (which is the only way to go in my opinion) the 2nd tier clubs are a better deal. Pure has a cool VIP area overlooking the strip.

    Hey Buddy,

I've been there a few times and here are my recommandations:

1 - MGM Grand Pool: You have to go there at least once! I went to Vegas once for a bachelor and we rented a Cabana at the Grand Pool and it was amazing. You have your own chairs, a lounge, a TV, etc. you can relax, watch the good looking people, go to the "river" and just have fun. Look at the picture here: http://jimmyhoofa-lv.blogspot.ca/2010/06/pool-review-mgm-grand.html

2 - Mon ami Gaby: At the Paris restaurant, there's a great steak house called "Mon ami Gaby", they have like a terrace on the Strip and right in front of the Bellagio and its fountains. You should get a reservation. Either call in advance or we went there early, they gave us a buzzer, we played at the casino while waiting. The food is amazing and the prices are ok... but you need to have a place outside as all the fun is in watching the strip. Here's the view: http://www.oyster.com/las-vegas/hot...os/restaurants-bars-paris-las-vegas-v211082/#

3- Sirens at Treasure Island: There's a free show with very good looking sirens in Bikini at Treasure Island. It's a few times a day and you can check it out. Here are the sirens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPZavd2BAcU

4- Grand Canal Shops: If you want to do some shopping, you can go at the Venetian and the Grand Canal Shops.

5 - Walking: Just walk outside, interact with people, have fun and enjoy!

I hope it helps! Just writing about it makes me want to go back!

Do you do stripclubs? If so you have to check out the spearmint rhino. Beer, Liquor and over 500 girls easy. Also do not pay with any cards, ensure you take cash. FYI. They been known to overcharged a card which you wont notice until you check your bill. talk about BH. :p

Could you guide me on suggested 'top' and 'second' tier clubs?

Top clubs are like XS, Tryst, TAO, Lavo, big money for tables, especially on the weekends. Lesser clubs like Pure, LAX, and Ghost Bar would still be an awesome time for a few bucks less. If you're a group of guys get bottles. It sounds expensive, but you bypass lines, don't have to queue up for drinks, don't pay cover, and security will even bring girls over if you want.

Fremont Street, as someone has mentioned, is worth doing. And you can check out the Golden Gate, one of the oldest hotels in Vegas. I usually stay here, not because it's cheap (which it is) but because it is seriously old school. They've upgraded some in the past few years but parts of it, with the narrow halls and the weird little guest rooms are straight out of the 19th Century.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay is worth a visit and they have a great buffet too (Vegas has better buffets, but this one is still pretty good.)

Penn & Teller show - seen this twice and worth seeing again.

Blue Man Group if you can get tickets.

Take a reserved helicopter ride with full tour to the grand canyon sky bridge. This you will never forget, limo picks you up at the hotel in the morning, you take a helicopter ride down the strip then out to the grand canyon where they drop you off at a river boat, which takes about an hour or two down the canyon, you get a good lunch on the boat, then the helicopter picks you up at the hoover dam and you get to fly over that, then they drop you off at a coach that ferries you out to the sky bridge, then coach brings you back, and then you get a nighttime helicopter ride down the vegas strip again, and a limo back to your hotel. If there are enough of you going, or you have deep pockets, rent the entire copter so you aren't sat next to two obnoxious, overweight tourists that insist that everything is bigger where they come from and like the sound of their own voices (happened the first time I did this), second time I just rented the four seater chopper for me and fiancee. This is a full day of activity. Price was a few hundred bucks a seat when I last went.

Grand Canyon horse trail riding - really worth it. Limo takes you out to the trails, horse ride down in to grand canyon, lunch, horse ride back out, steak dinner around a campfire under the stars, horse ride across the desert, limo back to the hotel. This is a full day of activity. Price was a few hundred bucks a seat when I last went. Take Aleve with you because your butt and legs will be sore.

Shooting range - fire an automatic weapon of your choice. Fun just to get it out of your system. Pay for a two hour or four hour package and buy the "deluxe ammo package" so you arent worry about being nickled and dimed on ammo. If you don't fire weapons a lot (I'm a software guy, my "hard work" involves having my 60 minute nap in the afternoon cut short) then expect your hands and forearms to ache at the end of the day if you fire more than a few weapons during the day. Take Aleve with you.

I haven't clubbed in Vegas in a few years so my knowledge of them is now a bit sketchy, Rain was good if it is still open, and XS I think. Definitely buy a table and either get a bottle or two of strong liquor. If there are five of you and you each pitch in $200 for the table and bottles, you are pretty much set for the night for whatever you want to drink and any hot girl you want to talk to. Clubs like high rollers and they like your money, so unless you are somebody, expect to pay for it. For clubs, cash is king but keep it secure and tucked away in small bundles of twenties. Be flash, just don't flash it.

Exotics racing - you can get a few hours behind the wheel of whatever marque you care to mention. Yeah, lamborghini really is *that* fast when you open it up and it will scare the **** out of you and make your ricer with wing feel like the bicycle you had when you were 10 years old. I drove my fiancee's Toyota Camry back to L.A. the next day and all I could think was "damn, this is slow."

I don't gamble, I cannot stand it, and I loathe being around the gawping tourists on the strip. A couple of friends showed me some other stuff to do in Vegas that is still touristy but takes you away from the usual that is well worth it. The Las Vegas home page has a huge list of tours on it that are worth checking out.

Next time I am out there (end of August) I intend to do the mini baja chase with dune buggies that is offered.

You can't miss walking down freemont street at night time. There is really nothing else like it. They also have zip lining there if you want to try that out.

Well I hope you enjoy your stay in Las Vegas! I have wholesale rates with the top hotels in Las Vegas! Check out one of my clients: theinsidersLV . com

Anyways, here's some things you can do off the top of my head:

First Friday of the month: Downtown Fremont. (Zipline, live tribute bands, and it's free, not the zipline but that bands! + cheapest alcohol in Vegas outside of convenience stores)

Monday: Marquee Mondays at City Center.
Sundays: Rehab Pool Party at Hard Rock.

Clubs I prefer: Hyde @ Bellagio (Super upscale, more my style) or XS, younger crowd, more rave atmosphere, Tao @ Venetian, OneOak @ Mirage.

Pools: Tao Beach @ Venetian, Rehab (hardrock - Sundays), Flamingo has cool pool parties but I haven't got in years.. The "M" is less crowded and better for relaxing. I really like their pool and cabanas.

    Dining & Shopping:
Town Square (Las Vegas BLVD/Sunset) - Shopping, fine dining, cool spot.
Fashion Show Mall (LV BLVD/Spring Mountain) - High end shopping.
    Premium Outlets - I-15/Sahara.
Lots of good local places to eat depending on your preferences.. If you are looking for upscale, where I take my clients: MIX @ The Hotel (Mandalay Bay), Applebees (JK!), P.F. Changs is great Chinese located @ District (Green Valley Ranch) and right off the Strip.. Emerils @ Venetian = name says it all or wolfgang pucks restaurant there is nice as well. While you're there catch a Gondola right and check out the 'Grand Canal Shoppes'.

Shows (Free): Treasure Island "Sirens" (nightly outside of TI), Bellagio Fountains every 15 minutes, Mirage Volcano.. Many non gambling things on the strip and downtown Fremont.

Shows (paid): MUST SEE 'O' at Bellagio. You can't go wrong with any Cirque de Soleil shows but 'O' is the best in my opinion. I think blue man group is over rated and a waste of money. Don't go. Magicians are never a bad choice in Vegas. Copperfield was good.

Roller coaster at New York New York, crazy stuff at Stratosphere I won't go near, State line at Primm (dining, shopping, former highest roller coast drop in the world) and plenty of award-winning golf courses.

Sight Seeing: Red Rock (215/Charleston) World Class rock climbing, sight seeing and hiking... Mount Charleston to escape the heat, Hoover Dam (daytime tour - 30 minutes outside of Las Vegas), I saw somebody say shark reef. It's no Sea World. More like the aquarium of goldfish in the janitors closet at sea world. Save your money there unless you have to touch a sting ray, then go for it.

If you're in for medispa treatments come to Dr. Stile at Esthetique Plastique and I will get you 50% off a HydraFacial!

If you have any questions Skype me. I am born & raised and have lots of connections here. I hope I can help assist in the 2014 conference here =P

EDIT: Going through the others posts I will add my 2cents..

BEST BUFFET: @ RIO!! Without a doubt.

New Wet N' Wild - Good one!
Little D's - only full nude that serves liquor, and half of the girls work as hookers.

You can ride in a nascar @ the las vegas motor speedway with the "richard petty experience" or you can fly in a fighter jet over Las Vegas, or as somebody else said, race in exotic cars such as Lambos..

GET BOTTLE SERVICE and be a baller.
