I've heard the max is 1000 follows per day.

I have been using TwtDominator to follow around 500 on 3 accounts and they have been getting locked every other day.

So does this mean that you can only follow 1000 per isp or 1000 per account? I'm starting to think the 1000 limit is PER ISP.

Hope this helps, and can anyone clarify?

The limit is different for every user based on whatever arbitrary, secret algorithm they use. It seems that to increase your limit you need to not look spammy, have lots of followers and a great ratio.

I know you can only follow up to 2k until you have more followers than that, is that still the case?
And as for limits per day, I think that does vary depending on the account, i think you need to take it steady, Id probably do 200-500 per day max.
I think its just as important how small teh gap is between following and then unfollowing, assuming thats what you are doing, and how regularly you do that - that will be a big footprint.

I think the best strategies would be:

1.Buying an aged twitter account that should stay under the radar a bit more than a new one.
2.Buy some twitter followers - if you buy 5k twitter followers, then you can follow at least 5k people before you hit the follow/followers limit.

How old is the account? did you just make it yesterday? Then i'd suggest keep it about 200. Has it been lying unused for 2 months.. then perhaps you can go a bit more. No one can tell for sure but staying within limits should serve you well.

Nope...will not work. If the aged account has been inactive for the last serveral months...you will get locked after you follow 10 people. "Reason: Suspicious activity"

My account was inactive for 2 years, a few days ago I bought a bot, follower 700 people in 1 hour, account still active and works fine :) So I would say that it is a very tricky question and needs more investigation

    And
For old twitter you can go with 200-250 following daily
