I have two Customers that have items on the ripoff reports. Does anyone know how to get these items taken down?

I told my customer they don't matter. No one searches for the terms that it comes up under. But they keep asking to see what I can do to get them gone.

So I am asking Here anyone have an Idea on how to get items taken off this site?

    Thanks

don't resolve anything with ripoffreport.... they will update your thread and push it higher in the SERPS.... what you need to do is create tons of backlinks with your company name in the anchor text. I recommend buying a linkwheel service (contentyogi.com is good) or paying someone to create a bunch of articles or press releases with that company's name in it.

I think the only way is to resolve with the complainer, I have heard of people going to court and still not being able to get it off.

Yeah they are kinda like the mafia... you can't ever get anything removed from there which I think is bullshit as some people never look beyond the accusations and even then sometimes people assume if one person had a problem others may also... Best option to reply to any complain and make sure it's obvious you did nothing wrong.

Same here. This response on his account is from like 4 or 5 years ago. Told him that we were going to have to set up several pages for the same key term and try and push it out of the way.

just wanted to post something here to see if anyone had a trick that we could do.

    Thanks

    I loved that post.
Good thinking about the SERPS. Very clever.

Yes, that is unfortunate. Although, 2 is not a lot, as I think most people would look passed it, if it is nonsensical. Hell, I've seen people with a couple dozen complaints on ripoffreport, yet their business is going well. Most people(if they even think about it at the time) will skim through, see what they see and normally still purchase the product. Make them feel like they are doing research. If they want the product they are going to get it.

There will always be assholes trying to ruin other people's business or bring others down. Don't let it phase you, we all get negatives.

Besides contacting the site administrator or going through the courts. I have always found that "persuasion" goes a long way. How you go about persuading said party is something you will have to figure out.

Here is a silly idea: Go about and pretend you are an angry customer that recently purchased your product, or used your business. Attempt to contact the "other" angry customers who created the post and see if you can't band together to get the business stopped. In all actuality, this whole thing is to befriend them and you can work with it from there.

Just don't make it to big, you don't want your plan backfiring and more people complain and make reports.
