I've seen one of the episode of Mythbusters that you need to travel at a speed of 200mph to beat the speed camera.

    LOL awesomeeee....

Anyways, I have got out of a few of them. When you go to court to pay it keep extending your court date. Then when you do go to court for the ticket, fight it. The cop most likely wont show up and you win.:ridinghor

Ask for the certification of the radar device,if its not certified and being used there not supposed to give you a ticket.

Perform a Discovery request to get information on the officer and his equipment details, such as calibration date, certification, etc.

Actually, when you take it to court (if you do go to court) and the cop shows up, ask for the radar/laser calibration logs. 99% of the time these clowns won't bring them to court becuase the know the average civilian doesn't know how to defend themselves in court. We all know that the radar/laser dvices were probably calibrated but if you don't have it in court it's all a moot point and you win. It's not what you know but what you can prove in court. So if the cop doesn't have the logs the judge has no choice but to throw out the case. I get tickets all the time and I always fight them in court and subvert the system one way or the other. I'm pretty much at 80% win and 20% loss, not bad for my lead foot. :)

Did the cop use a laser? Lasers have not been proven reliable in a court of law, so it's possible to get out of it (my mom is a lawyer, and she got several of her own tickets thrown out, and did the same thing a couple times for my brother) But she had to print out all these documents to bring to court and stuff, so it looks like kind of a complicated process... But just something to keep in mind.

Whatever you do, don't plead guilty. Take your chances and go to court because the cop might not show up!

In some states that have ticket lawyers that will defend your ticket for like 60 bucks. They usually just end up getting it dropped.

I think their process involves something like this:

    1: Schedule court date
    2: show up to court
3: if cop shows up reschedule court date (repeat this process up to 3 times)
4: if cop doesnt show up then get ticket dismissed

THe idea is that the cop will not show up sooner or later so they end up getting it dismissed. On on 3 time if cop shows up then do that log thingy someone else said.

If you think thats bad, i got caught twice in 1 day a few months back in australia. On a holiday weekend, so the fine is double. $750 x 2 = $1500 for doing 30km over the speed limit on an empty road...

Fuck em, I didnt pay it, just moved my ass to Thailand and forgot about it :)

Best way to beat a speeding ticket is... Don't speed. You put not only yourself at risk but others as well.

After 1.5 yrs of delaying this hideous speeding ticket i finally went to court for it... thinking that the cop wouldn't show up to trial... well too make a long story short... he did... and had the damn calibration reports on hand for the judge... i had a tight diagram saying i was behind a semi truck during morning rush hour...and it was no way that i was going 85mph... the dick-head judge didnt budge... he cited with the PIG and i was found GUILTY!!! really sucks... i hate giving my hard earn money too the state who is already rich... no matter how guilty i was... loll.. here is what i wrote too vent the phu*ck off...

Axis of evil is a term initially used by the former United States President George W. Bush in his State of the Union Address on January 29, 2002. He forgot too mention The Superior Court - Kearny Mesa Courthouse. You talk about corruption between the Judges/Commissioners and local police, CHP & Sheriff departments trying too extort money off hard working citizens of San Diego...from bogus speeding tickets and frivolous automotive violations. Nothing in this courthouse has any merit at all.. It is all a big time SCAM. In the dictionary when you look up SCAMMERS, CROOKS AND SCANDALS you will find a picture of The Superior Court - Kearny Mesa Courthouse.

They are all corrupt officials here. The Superior Court - Kearny Mesa Courthouse makes the LAPD officers involved in the Rampart scandal make them look like Mother Teresa. From the overweight wanna be airport screeners at the front door (they will pick the money & valuables out of your purse or wallet while you are distracted going through the metal detector) too the old-grayed-haired-deaf-hearing clerks with thick glasses working the front windows, too the corrupt judges and commissioners giving out the fines in the courtroom. Do not let these bottom feeders scumbags get your hard earn money.

FIGHT YOUR TICKET AT ALL COSTS!!! Also write complaints too their respective departments because they are all public officials working for the State. Watch out for PETER S. Doft- Commissioner/Judge he will go against you every time and cite with the DOUGHNUT-EATING-PIG-COP... you will not win. You can smell the sulfur as soon as you walk in this place. Beware!!! Lucifer runs this place...he does exist. I suggest carry a cross around your neck and bring a bible. Because GOD needs too vanquish the evil from this HELL HOLE. Its so much corruption here that United States Department of Justice and FBI need to investigate this Courthouse. This place makes Tijuana and Sinola Cartel members look like model citizens. If you call this place for Justice there is no Heaven just HELL.

You can go to the court and plead quilty with an explanation and get it dropped to a lower speed and cheap no point fine.
