What are you wanting to do with the boxes, there is big changes going on with the sky signals at the moment they are changing satelites.

Im based in Spain we have lost all channel 5 programes and we are going to lose all the other UK free view programmes any time soon.

The sat guys don't have a solution as of yet,so depending on what you want to do with the boxes you might be better to hang fire till all the moves are in place.

Yes, they are moving to Astra 2F, the astra 2 has come to the end of it's working life. The 2 F is more advanced and doesn't have a broad beam why alot of Europe mainly Spain will lose signal.

Sky TV in the UK is broadcast from satellites operated by SES in the 28.2E orbital position. This handy chart shows you the expected coverage of each of the satellites: http://www.ses.com/fleet-coverage

There are at least two new satellites scheduled to launch into that position and channels will likely move around to new transponders as they gradually phase out the older satellites like Astra 2A - launched in 1998 and coming to the end of its 15 year life expectancy.
