So, G**gle decided that they know what content should be displayed with a snippet, but what if they choose the worst content or negative article is not under your control and that it outranks your own brand name? Has anyone ever tried to delete it manually or with a bot?

I have used proxies, logged out of my accounts and flagged it as "not useful" many times. I would assume that G's flagging methods would be number based and after many reports it should be automatically removed? Has anyone else ever done this or have any additional ideas of how to remove the Featured snippets in search?

Thanks for your ideas / help!

    Algo? Let's play with you.
If it's really bad content you can outrank it easily.
There are many articles on the web about features snippets and they DO work, so google it and you'll find.

Trying to flag them won't do anything.

Snippets are supposed to display the most relevant info, and 99% of the time it IS relevant, and Google can see this based on other factors such as Click Through Rate, Bounce Rate, Etc...

Incorporate Schema markup onto your site to (hopefully) show up in a rich snippet for something you are targeting. You can have a relatively "weak" site show up as a rich snippet up top if the info on the site is relevant, informative, and is marked up correctly

These guys above me forgot to tell you that you need wp plugin all in one schema if you are using wordpress and at the bottom of the posts you have an option to mark your articles properly such as product, review, article etc. etc.

Have u ever noticed 5/5 stars next to product on google search? or 5/5 review on google search ? this is this plugin I strongly believe althought I don't know for 100% that this featured snippet (article like) is exactly this but marked as "article" with the plugin

You dont need the plugin if you want to do it manually but with it it is 100% easier and faster

You can opt out of featured snippets by adding a Meta tag (<meta name="googlebot" content="nosnippet">) to the head of your page.
