Just recently, I built a site for free download of some utility software. It's a CPA offer that pays me everytime the software is downloaded and installed. There's not much money, only $1.25 for each install, but since the software is free and desirable, I should be able to make a few dollars.

Since the payout is so low, I don't want to spend any money on traffic, so I am relying on organic search results and backlinks from related websites.

If you've been marketing online for any length of time, you know how tedious it can be to get good backlinks.

You can go the route of finding the proper websites and requesting a link, but that takes a lot of time for few results. You can also look for related blogs and forums to post links, but that's also a big time consumer - plus it's boring.

In order to automate this ultra-boring but much needed task, I wrote a program that runs on my PC. The program finds hundreds of forums and blogs that are keyword related and then automatically posts my message with a backlink. When I hit the 'GO' button, I can have lots of backlinks very quickly without all the grunt work or outsourcing.

My program allows you to be very specific about where you get your backlinks - from .edu, .gov or .com sites. You can specify blogs or forums and they're all keyword related to your site.

Besides providing backlinks for the search engines to see, you can also directly get traffic from the links if you write a good message. People will see your message and click the link. I tested the program on a new site that had virtually no traffic and got 188 visitors within a day. Not too bad for clicking a button!

Do you think anyone would be interested in buying such a program? How much do you think it would be worth?

The reason I'm asking is that although the program does what it's supposed to do, the user interface is pretty ugly right now and needs to be 'tuned up' for ease of use. This might take a couple of days to do and I don't particularly want to spend the time making it look nice just for myself. However, if there's a good amount of interest in the program, I'd certainly make the effort.

How much do you think people would be willing to pay for such a program?

Thanks in advance for your constructive comments.

No, it doesn't create accounts. It finds blogs and forums that don't require that you have an account in order to post comments.

If it really does everything you say then lots of people would be interested in it. Does it support more platforms than scrapebox for example ? Also what about the captchas. Does it solve them automatically ? If it supports only wordpress then don't expect many sales. You can launch it for 50$ a piece and if the demand is huge you can increase the price. But keep in mind that we already have scrapebox so you need to offer something better and unique if you want to sell it.

The program does not solve captchas, but most of the places that don't require having an account also don't use captchas. As far as platforms go, it posts to any type of blog or forum that meets the requirements, so it can be Joomla, WordPress, phpBB, vBulletin, etc.

The $50 price would be nice, but I'm thinking more like $27 for BHW members.
If people seem to be interested, I'll clean up the user interface and list it in the buy-sell-trade section.

What is an 'AA' forum? I'm not familiar with that term.

Sounds interesting. Backlink services are big business not only here, but at a bunch of other IM forums. People would definitely buy your software if it can create back links pretty easily. Let me know if you need a beta-tester. :)

$27 is perfect price I think. I probably will buy it to check it out. It seems nice if it does everything on autopilot. One more thing can you add bigger keyword list, for example 100 keywords at once. And also does it support proxies. If it doesn't it would be nice to add proxy support.

what would be the expected 'quality' of the backlinks due to them probably being spammed to death due to no captcha or account needed?

Doing a list of keywords shouldn't be a problem. I'll look into solving captchas to make it even more powerful.
