I'll be traveling to southeast asia in a month or two and would like to make some contacts. Right now I'm thinking of flying into Bangkok and then trotting around for a year or so but I'm open to going into Indonesia or the Phillipines first. I'm especially interested in meeting someone from Nepal. what sup?

Nepal and India are not in Southeast Asia :p

BTW, from Bangkok you should move your way south to Malaysia and Singapore, then to Indonesia and Phillipines.

You have to make a stop in thailand, Pattaya. The water is warm and there are plenty of ladies that will keep you company. There's one strip right off the beach lined with Bars. Plenty of things to get into there. I'm going to Indonesia in February for 3 weeks to visit the in laws. FYI...Worst part of the trip...... 26 hours in the airplane yuck!!!

India has visa requirements before you arrive for Americans is my understanding. I don't like the thought of sending my passport off to a bureaucracy in case I get edgy (or fired from my contract job because I get edgy) and want to leave next week.

    Sure! I'll pitch in!

Plans are to make business contacts, travel in a foreign countries, continue Internet Marketing. will pm you...

You're right, but I wasn't sure how to qualify Nepal. I'm even up for China. I need to start and go one direction i.e.: south to north. Maybe I start in the Phillipines and go north? I want to spend 3 months in Nepal at least.

Right now I can fly Korean Air - Las Vegas to Bangkok for $1100 roundtrip with acceptable $$ date changes. Will look for Phillippines travel costs also. You got a couch? I'd love to spend 3-6 weeks/months on a Pacific Island beach (and I've done this before on the Bay Islands in Honduras / Central America so I'm not talking trash - got scuba dive master certified there)

Internet Marketing is paying for a large part of my trip - let this be an inspiration. I put a TON of effort into making money on the net (first made $1 / day then $10 / day then $70 / day now around $15 / $35 day and looking to get back up (I know this isn't much for some people).

You can spend your life how you want - it is up to you. I'll pass on the fancy cars and big houses and enjoy what time I have here with good friends, good food, and good living. Also, I do not do fraud or tricks, straight WH for the long term. I hang here for the golden nuggets that help my WH activities.

I went to Indonesia once with my ex-girlfriend.
We met this nice guy (he was our tuk tuk driver) that showed us around on a market.
He had friends there, we got some coconut milk and it was fun.

But then he asked me where i was from.
I said i'm dutch, suddenly they start shouting and bickering with each other.
I damn nearly got lynched down there.

I'm sorry we occupied your country but it was almost 50 years ago man.
