    Anyone here uses "Google Alerts"?
What do you guys use it on? Spy on your competitors? Your own reputation?

By the way, is it possible to use it on Google Places? Constantly checking for new reviews etc.?

    Please advise. Thanks

You have not used the search function, have you?
There are already a few threads that recommend methods that utilate Google Alerts.

    Thanks.

I actually did a quick search earlier and couldnt find a method to 'monitor' google places (pages).
If you can point me to some directions to it, that will be great. Appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

It doesn't monitor place pages or their reviews, you need to either do it manually or purchase some software to do so. I might have a wordpress plugin that does this, let me check later tonight when I get home and if I do I will upload it.
