There are a few ads-supported VPNs available for free. Search for them, try them out and see if it they are fit for your purpose.

Try BlackVPN. They aren't free but they are pretty cheap, 5€ per month for my plan, without a yearly contract. Their customer support is great too. From what I can tell, they have a high level of privacy.

If you can help it, try to stay away from the free VPNs. The ones I tried were so painfully slow that it was impossible to get any work done. Plus, I just don't trust anything that is free.

You might also want to check out "that one privacy site." The owner has a lot of VPN reviews, without affiliate links.

If you want to use VPNs on social media properties, you'll require paid dedicated VPNs, free ones won't do or even the paid version of commercial solutions, because those ips are shared.

Head over to the Proxies for Sale section, some proxy providers sell dedicated VPNs too there. But be prepared that VPN costs are multiple times of proxy costs.

The dedicated VPN is only used by you similarly to dedicated proxies. The shared VPNs are used by others too, with a free VPN service those ips are used by many, with a paid version of commercial VPN services the ips are shared between all those who purchase the plans, which means less people than the free versions have, but it's still a considerably high amount.

With social media properties you don't possibly want to use shared ips, it's advisable to go with dedicated ips, can it be proxies or VPNs.
If you purchase a premium plan with a VPN service like CyberGhost, you'll get many ips, but all of those will be shared, hence i recommended to choose a service from the Proxies for Sale section, which offers dedicated VPNs.
