I am getting ready to go to one. I've been having some anger and motivation issues lately. I don't think I need meds or anything, just someone to talk to. I got into 3 fights today. I did not start them but I could have prevented them from escalating. One at the gas station this morning, one at work and one at the drive thru on the way home. I've been having issues with motivation lately. I can't motivate to work on my websites or clean my house or do my landscaping. I come home and read on here and watch tv.

Has anyone been? Do you feel it helped you?

no but I do hold my degree in Psychology, if you do need help i am only a message away, i also have my cpa. I was thinking when i got those two I would hold both practices in the same building so when I do taxes people can get some therapy tooand it is ok to get angry...and also sounds like you are lacking vitamin B-12 go to the store like walgreens or cvs or rite aid and pick up a bottle of vitamin b-12......its cheap and will make all the difference, alot of people mistake depression for a lack of vitamins. When you lack motivation to clean and do normal activities and are on edge if you went to a "shrink" they would say your depressed, I assume you work alot, trying to be creative all the time and you are not taking care of your body like you should. Again I assume, try the Vitamin b12 and see how that works for you...

1000 mcg's is half of what you should be taking, are they pill or sublingual? For best results because if you are taking the pill form of b12 75% of it is not absorbed into your system it is wasted by the natural acids in your stomach. Try going for a 2000 mcg sublingual which goes under your tounge. If you are taking the 1000 mcg's sublingual double it.
also on another note are you taking me time, I know it sound corney but do you have a time set aside each day where you are not working or even on the computer because even though this is what we do and we enjoy it, it will cause stress.
Me time for me is sitting in front of my tv at night watching a movie i rented from blockbuster I do it every night when all are sleeping. computer off, phone off, fax off.

I am going to see a doctor Friday... I don't think I need anything, I think I just have schizoid personality disorder.. Partly it's about motivational issues, but I think it has more to do with the fact genuinely I don't care about the same things my parents do.. like school.

Doctors have long known of the relationship between low levels of vitamin B-12 and depression. Vitamin B-12 and other B vitamins, such as folate, play a role in the production of certain brain chemicals that are important in regulating mood and other brain functions.
However, it's less clear whether vitamin B-12 deficiency may be the cause or the result of depression. Poor nutrition is one cause of vitamin B-12 deficiency. But poor nutrition may also be a consequence of depression. People who are depressed may lose interest in eating or make less healthy food choices, which may lead to vitamin B-12 deficiency.
When you're depressed, it's important to try to eat a healthy, balanced diet that includes sources of essential nutrients, including B vitamins. Vitamin B-12 is plentiful in animal products such as fish, meat, poultry, eggs and milk. Fortified breakfast cereals also are a good source of B-12 and other B vitamins
    quick copy and paste job..
vitamin b12 is not only for energy, back in the day they used to give vitamin b12 shots to those who were depressed, I assume they stopped because the rx companies need to make there money somehow, and handing out a pill that clients must take for the rest of there lives seems more profitable then getting a vitamin shot once a month.
