Anyone here bought these expired/redirected traffic offers for ~$1/1000 visitors?

I see many providers of such traffic, pop-unders/expired domain for about $300-$600 for 400k visits. Has anyone used those and willing to share their experience?

Do you think those are good for kick-starting an informational/viral website? And for accumulating fb likes/shares? Or is it completely garbage traffic that will do nothing, regardless of the website I send them to?

I know there's a paid traffic section, but no one visits it and this is not about PPC/media buying.

I can monetize random traffic way better than $1/k, and so I presume can anyone else. If you had a bunch of expired domains with traffic I'd get far better than $1/k, and hence would be suspicious of anyone underselling their traffic.
