I started making decent money a couple weeks ago so I had to do me and upgrade myself so I bought myself the LG Ally from Verizon with the Android OS. Now I want to know what apps I should get that will improve my experience with the phone. Anything from apps that will make internet marketing from my phone easier to tools would be great.

droid sense - monitors adsense
amazon app
advanced task killer- great app overall, it kills apps, saving you memory

twitter caster maybe, i use it all the time but there are loads.

If you're any good at programming then get the sdk and make your own tools, if you're not a very good programmer but understand enough. Go to googlelabs and request an invite to the app inventor beta.

If you don't want to go down that route, i use the Motorola Milestone and web browsing is normally shithot!

I've been an Android user for over 1 year now. I've tested many applications and here are some of my favorites:

Craigsnotifica (This application will notify you when keywords are posted to Craigslist. It's awesome.)

DoggCatcher (The best podcasting application on Android.)

FeedR (Keep up with all of your RSS feeds.)

KeePassDroid (Works with KeePass so you can keep all of your passwords safe and encrypted.)

SuperGenPass (Mobile version of the excellent password hash bookmarklet.)

Math Workout (Keep your mind fresh with these addictive math games.)

Reddit is fun (Stay atop the latest trends online with Reddit.)

Robo Defense (Highly addictive game. Please read reviews carefully as you will waste time on it.)

Speed Test (Know how fast your networks are with this popular speed test application.)

Yelp (Loaded with tons of features for finding the right business. You will be a local everywhere you go with this app.)

Zillow (Shows the property value of all the houses around you. Uses GPS to always know where you are. Excellent way to scope out the housing market.)

PhoneMyPc - Free yourself from your office!

K9Mail - Becuase the standard email client is shite

Currency Converter - If you deal in $ but live outside the US

Aldiko ebooks - Very nice reader (I said I would never read on a phone)

Tricorder - Well, you just have too, it has some useful info too.

Then there are all the useful apps, but I am sure you already have that covered.

Air Control (&Lite) - Great frustrating game

+1 robo defense and Advanced Task Killer

Im gonna have to check that craignotifica

One that wasnt mentioned is the Analytics widget, it will login to your G analytics account and give you back a little 1x1 square on the home screen showing either unique views, or page views of your site

you can check china e-commerce sites for cheap and different android models

I have the Incredible and just love it. I highly recommend DoubleTwist for Music and Videos. Videos need to be MP4 format, but it works great. I use it when working out on a stationary bike. Watch a movie and time flies by superfast while you burn calories.

Shazaam (spelling?) - great to find out about songs you hear on the radio. Just hold it close to the speaker and it recognizes the song.

Barcode Reader is another great one. If you buy something at a store, use it to compare prices. Scan the barcode and off it goes and tells you where you get it cheaper (eventually).

Adobe Reader for PDF is crap. Don't even bother loading.

Unless you are on a *really* tight budget and enjoy impaired functionality, one of those Android phones from a Chinese e-commerce site is the last thing you want to get.

PDANet. turns your android into modem which you can either connect via USB or bluetooth..

I travel a lot so it is a lifesaver when I need to do something on my laptop in the middle of nowhere.
