Its weird but a poorly created and not so good articles site outranked my money site. The only thing I can know is that PBN links helped it.

For a month it was nowhere and now suddenly on top of my site.

Any suggestions what to do? I had used a partial anchor text can I change it to emd?

Nope it was created way after the money site and only as a test to see if relevance helps the site move faster. In 8 days I sent social signals, bookmarks and PBN links divided between homepage and money link page.

How is this happening though? how come google is not doing anything about it? Did your expired domain move the money site big steps? Mine only moved it 10 spaces and it was 2 links.

I've had this happen. I put a spun article (manually spun by me (English language first speaker) and very unique, grammatically correct) on a very strong PBN site of mine. Article linked from the domain's home page, and had a few backlinks pointing directly to the new article. So the article had it's own backlinks and a lot of link juice from the home page. It out-ranked the money site it was giving a backlink to.

If a PBN article has strong backlinks, good Page Rank, then Google is going to pick it to rank over your weaker money site article. Makes sense if you think about it. Don't know if that's the case for you, but you should try to determine if that might be the reason.

Is this actually bad? You have two pages which rank well in Google now (in the best case). Maybe it can be used to make even more money.

How old is the domain? And how many back links? I've just been looking at buying an expired domains for my two websites, between $1 and $2 with 100 referring domains.

If you're saying that your budget is $1 to $2 for a domain, then good luck with that. Having someone do the work of finding you an expired domain with 100 RD will cost you more than that. I've paid $10 for an expired domain and I don't expect to get anything close to 100 RD.

If you find a domain with 100 RD, for $1 - $2, you better look over where those RDs are coming from. Probably a shitty blog comment blast. In that case the domain is worth about $0.

I didn't say that was my budget. I'm looking on expireddomains.net, but I clicked on 1&1 and it was a new customer offer of $0.99, I'm already with them lol.

Around $10.99 to $12.99 with up to 125 RD, most around 50. I'm checking the domains on wayback machine, majestic, ahrefs and moz.

I'm looking at domain names with my niche sector in them, its a homeware niche

I had a web2.0 that I blasted with cheap PBN links, and other links, outrank my site for a short while, I just kept building links toy site and outranked it like I would any other competitor.
It is partially why I started building better web 2.0s, so if/when it happens, it doesn't look as spammy, with the web 2.0 linking out to multiple authority sites(all non- competitors) in the linking article, giving them strong about me's, contact forms, some social media(even some with IFTTT hooked up), several interlinked posts without a link to my site.
I save the spun single pager spam for tier 2/3.

This is what I've done with my wordpress.com sites, quality content, they get traffic and I've put 50 cheap pbn links behind. The tumblrs are expired, but all average 15 to 20 posts on each same as the wordpress, I've added 50 pbn links behind some of these. All the wordpress blogs have facebook pages and going to buy social signals for ones with the best ahrefs score.

I think I buy a couple of expired domains within my niche keyword and see how these work.

If your PBN or b uffer ranks higher then your money site then there is something seriously wrong with your money site.

This has happened to me and I guess if you have been in the game for a long time, you might have come across such stuffs. What I did was add more pages to the buffer site (each page targets a 1k to 10k monthly search KW). They started ranking on the top 20+. I turn the site to a money site. And the domain name was so funny. But who cares?

Let it be. Don't mess around with it. It will very likely drop within a month, or even a couple days.
