Hey BHW, I've had a lot of experience in IM however all the methods I've used have been without a blog or website and instead direct linking my affiliate link.

Now I'm ready to start building a blog and expanding my brand, however I know literally nothing about hosting or linking a domain name to my host and wordpress.

I've done some research and although GoDaddy is cheaper I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for BlueHost just for the ease of being able to set up a WP Blog through their control panel.

Has anybody had any experience with this host?

    Thanks for your time :)

Yes - BlueHost is one of the better hosting providers that I've used.

For ONSHORE hosting I recommend https://securesignup.net/portal/ too - I used their business hosting for a site I ran, and it's the best hosting packages I've found.

Thanks for your reply, I just read somewhere that although it shows a monthly price for the hosting you don't actually pay monthly? Instead just one lump sum, is this true?

    Sigh...

I started with bluehost, and I feel stupid about it now.

I did some research on good hosting companies, but had no refferance, so I thought I should go with bluehost.

I was told once in a thread that I could have done a lot better considering where I live.

Unfortunately the guy didn't say anything more than that.

Considering going to namecheap and godaddy for some IP diversity when I scale up.

Why not HostWinds? They do a great job at hosting my sites and a site called BlackHatWorld.com. Fast support too. Like 5 minute support tickets.

Bluehost is great; I use them for all of my legit sites. Don't use them if you plan on doing anything with your hosting account that involves possibly running scripts / programs that will hog resources. on a shared server; they do crack down on people that abuse shared resources.

I've been with hostgator forever and have never had any issues and they have the one click wordpress installation as well.
