    Alright so I finally got the theme I was looking for (well one close enough..) and started setting up my site. There are a few things that I have been unable to figure out though. How do I edit the main top title bar that says my site title and "just another word press blog". Also, how can I make a block of area (like a rectangle within the lander) a different color for a testimonial to go on? Lastly, how do I edit the contact us, privacy, etc links at the bottom? I have pages made for them but not sure how to edit the destination of the button.

    Sorry for the noob questions, it's my first time doing this and I'm trying to get a WH presence.

    Thanks

    By deleting the header, the theme pretty much goes away...maybe it contains more than it should?

    Here is the code,

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" <?php language_attributes(); ?>>
    <head profile="http://gmpg.org/xfn/11">
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="<?php bloginfo('html_type'); ?>; charset=<?php bloginfo('charset'); ?>" />
    <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />
    <title><?php if (is_home () ) { bloginfo('name'); } elseif ( is_category() ) { single_cat_title(); echo ' - ' ; bloginfo('name'); }
    elseif (is_single() ) { single_post_title(); }
    elseif (is_page() ) { bloginfo('name'); echo ': '; single_post_title(); }
    else { wp_title('',true); } ?></title>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/script.js"></script>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?>" type="text/css" media="screen" />
    <!--[if IE 6]><link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/style.ie6.css" type="text/css" media="screen" /><![endif]-->
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="<?php printf(__('%s RSS Feed', 'kubrick'), get_bloginfo('name')); ?>" href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>" />
    <link rel="alternate" type="application/atom+xml" title="<?php printf(__('%s Atom Feed', 'kubrick'), get_bloginfo('name')); ?>" href="<?php bloginfo('atom_url'); ?>" />

    <link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo('pingback_url'); ?>" />
    <?php wp_head(); ?>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div class="PageBackgroundSimpleGradient">
    </div>
    <div class="Main">
    <div class="Sheet">
    <div class="Sheet-tl"></div>
    <div class="Sheet-tr"><div></div></div>
    <div class="Sheet-bl"><div></div></div>
    <div class="Sheet-br"><div></div></div>
    <div class="Sheet-tc"><div></div></div>
    <div class="Sheet-bc"><div></div></div>
    <div class="Sheet-cl"><div></div></div>
    <div class="Sheet-cr"><div></div></div>
    <div class="Sheet-cc"></div>
    <div class="Sheet-body">
    <div class="Header">
    <div class="Header-png"></div>
    <div class="Header-jpeg"></div>
    <div class="logo">
    <h1 id="name-text" class="logo-name">
    <a href="<?php echo get_option('home'); ?>/"><?php bloginfo('name'); ?></a></h1>
    <div id="slogan-text" class="logo-text">
    <?php bloginfo('description'); ?></div>
    </div>

    </div>

    Theres a pic of a girl on the header that I want to remove, and I'd like to change the color of it if possible...or I can just completely remove it.

    Thanks

    EDIT: And I don't see an seo optimizer plugin available anywhere?

    Code:
    <div class="Header-png"></div>
        <div class="Header-jpeg"></div>
    It seems that the picture is under your css file.

    Do you know how I can find the file, and delete/change it there? It contains a lot of data which I don't understand lol.

    I found the files in the folder for the theme, edited them the way I wanted, and put them back in the archive but I keep getting this error when trying to upload the theme,

    Incompatible archive PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    You can edit the title at the top of the blog by going to settings>general. Or you could just get the addon all in one seo pack and it gives you a lot of options to change things.

    If you want to change things like the header banner or footer then you will want to go into the appearance>editor section and you can edit each of those areas. I find it easier just to download the pages and edit them in notepad++. To delete the links in the footer just find the reference to the link and delete it out. You should see either a reference to a link with php code or just a straight html code link.

    If this is all new like it was to me a year ago just start doing searches in google for the different things you want to do. There are tons of videos and articles that walk you through all of it.

    <div class="Header-png"></div>
    <div class="Header-jpeg"></div>

    One of these is probably pulling the picture from your CSS file. Change the picture that's listed there to one that you want to use. Make sure it's the same size or you will need to change the attributes in the CSS file. You need the header for the theme.

    check header.pgn and header.jpeg and if that are picture that you are trying to delete just remove it from the folder of the theme. If not, you should post here (attached) the .css files and may be I can help you. Or just tell me which theme so I can download it and see what file should be deleted.

    The error occurs if there is a conflict with a plugin. The Automatic Upgrade plugin is one culprit. If you are getting this error try temporarily disabling your plugins until after the upgrade is completed.
