Anyone going to buy the new Amazon Kindle Fire

    I'm tossing it around....but with no camera, that kind of kills the "content creation" option.

    Seems all it is good for is internet surfing. I heard their "silk" browser is very speedy

    Good one...seems a bit pricey even at $199 for just a 7 inch internet surfing machine.

    Sounds like they just want a medium to sell their products

    I believe they are trying to end the Apply monoply in the Pad business, etc, I hope the best for them, nothing wrong with variety in tech stuff in my book :borladuck

    Yeah but with no microphone and no camera and no apple apps....

    They have the "shopping experience" and they do have their own apps....

    And of course the price is nice

    i don't think they want to match the ipad. remember, they are in the business of selling content and VAS. they aren't trying to make money off the kindle fire, in fact, they are set to lose money. the real $$$ is going to come in the form of kindle books, streaming, and amazon digital products (mp3, movies, stream rentals). with free amazon cloud, i think they have a leg up online storage.
