Anyone getting emailings from Hong Kong requesting to obtain domain over copyright?

Sup guys,

Ok so my parents and various people I know are getting emails saying that they have companies that want to use the company domain and therefore there will be copyright issues blah blah.

Before any smart arses say, I know they can literally fuck off in terms of copyright issues, but the thing is what are they trying to get at. None of these websites have backlinks or traffic and they are going for pretty unique domains (no keywords what so ever)

Also they put their details down phone number and all, I tried calling one today but no one picks up heh.

However one thing I noticed is that they are always based from Hong Kong. Hmm

Anyone get these?

spam - been doing the rounds for years. it's just chinease companies trying to get you to register chinease versions of your domain.
