Im considering moving down to Philippines to live for some time, I have never been There or In Fact in any Asia Country. So all I really know is from what I have seen on YT/forums :D
What would you suggest is the best area/areas to live in whole Philippines?

I Don't really want to live in Huge expensive Dirty and Poluted Cities such as Manila , Would Rather Live in smaller Costal town with nice scenery which is like 20-30km away from Large city where there is everything (shopping centers/gyms/cinemas..). However I Dont really want to live in small Province where there are like 50people and all you can do is plant rice, towns with some 5k people near the Ocean with nice scenery and cheap living costs is what Im looking for!

Also i dont really want to live in areas which gets affected heavily by tsunamis or terrorists, kidnappers .lol.
Based On what I just Provided what would You suggest Is the best area for me? (just name some Large cities around which there could be such smaller towns? )

    Thanks!

I just moved out of Manila like 6 months ago after living there for a year. I don't know that much of the other cities in PI, but I guess something down south, like Cebu, would fit your needs quite nicely, or maybe Palawan. Both are just like 1hr flight from Manila, so one can just fly in and out really easy if needed.

Tagaytay-Batangas areas are good choices. Not very far from the cities and you can easily have access when you go to Makati or Manila. And, it's far from Tsunamis, these places are very high and a good temperature as well.

Palawan and Baguio are also among the better choices. But, these are far from the big cities, particularly from big malls such as Mall of Asia.

You could try the beautiful vacation island of Camiguin!
It is a good vacation spot below cebu and bohol (visayas) just above Cagayan The Oro which is in Northern Mindanao.

I have been there once and the island is very nice, it is a tourist spot but not that expensive and not polluted like Boracay. No Malls there though... :p

Cebu is good too! it is the cleaner version of manila with more beatuful girls. It is also a Plus too coz many Cebuanos speak good english.

Try Iloilo. it is just hours away from the famed Boracay Beach and minutes away from Guimaras island. a little known haven for beautiful scenery good for relaxation and adventure seekers. :) If you decide to go in here in ILOILO i might show you around. :)

    Definitely Davao..

    1. The cost of living is incredibly low.
    2. Abundance of fresh fruits and fresh vegetables AT A LOW PRICE.
    3. Abundance of fish.
    4. Balanced in terms of places where you can spend much money on and places where you can just relax.
    5. All types of resorts available (mountain, beach etc.)

You can basically live well and live healthily in a $8 budget per day (food and transpo) + $120 for monthly rent of a house.

I'm from Philippines, butuan city to be exact.. :) But I travel back and
    forth in Davao frequently..

But I will recommend Davao City, It is has all the things you need..You can
choose city living or you can choose to live 20 minutes away from the metro
which is more comfortable.. :) You can both enjoy rural and urban living here in Davao... (Largest land area city in the country)

Davao is one of the peaceful if not being the most peaceful city in the Philippines. The cost of living is quite low compare to other big cities like cebu and manila. You got all the things you need here, from malls, cinemas, tourist spots, just name it.. :) All in one city to live with.. :)

Plus They have stable internet providers that you can choose from even if you live away from the center of the city which is the most important for people like us who earn a living online.. :)

And one of the best dude in here in BHW live in Davao @ Phpbuilt - http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/members/186541-phpbuilt.html

And i'm at Davao City atm..
