Anyone ever got an online gaming or casino license before? Any first-hand advice on jurisdictions etc??

Lots of info on the wonderful Big G, but always find first-hand insights more valuable than shit probably written by license providers themselves anyway.

If you are new to this, Curacao license works very well for most use-cases and costs under 20k per year.

Hi, i was involved in a launch of an online casino group in early 2000's. We hosted and had license in Costa Rica. The hosting company we used was called Hostarica.com, not sure what they are like now, or if they exist. I built an online lottery in late 90s and that was hosted in Curacao. I was happy to go and setup servers there.

Hey man. It depends on your budget and how legit you want to be. Curacao is definitely the easiest one to get and the cheapest one. If you're looking to build a respectable brand, I would suggest the MGA (Malta License), although it's a bit more expensive and a few more restrictions and protections towards customers. And if you really want to go hardcore, there's also UKGC (UK), Sweden, Denmark, Spain, now the Netherlands are regulating the market. But it all depends on your goals and budget.

Too many variables, getting your own licence is quite a PITA, white label providers are going to take away a lot of that pain.

I guess you need to address a few questions first, what your target geo is if you are going to go with licenced or grey markets and such.

Once you know the market that will help with licence choice, the cheapest entry is going to be a Curacao licence behind a white-label operator solution.

I have the details of all the decent ones, dm and ill hook you up rather than spam all the links here.

If you move quickly, you can be up and running in 3 months.

Im currently in Costa Rica, running a big tech support center, Interested to know how you charge your customers, Im currently looking for a good payment processor, and Im willing to pay commission in perpetuity if someone can point me in the right direction. Anyways thank you for your time

Find all active casinos in your region and literally check what payment providers they are using.

Please send me the commission in perpetuity for this information in BTC only, thanks.

Yes, but illegal
It's not going to be black and white like that, your country cant ban it globally and an operator cannot be held fully responsible for users in a country ignoring the local law.

What is it you are trying to do?

No idea about the licenses and shit, but apparently pretty easy to get all the famous providers in your casino. I'd say around $100k to start off minimum.

If you really going through with it; create a really beneficial aff-program like what King Billy has done. It's a kind of shady casino, no licenses besides maybe MGA/Curacao afaik. The affiliates get up to 50% rev-share though, so a ton of webmasters will bite.

Fun facts;
- Almost 50% of online casino traffic comes from affiliate sites.
- Casinos can spend as much as 500€ per player in advertising.
