    Hey,

As the title says, has anyone here ever been IP banned by Ezine Articles?

For about 3 weeks now, I get a message saying that the server can't be found whenever I try to access Ezine Articles or Go Articles. It works fine when I access it through my VPS or through a proxy. I have a dynamic IP so it would have to be a ban on my IP range.

I haven't done anything dodgy on Ezines, copied a couple of articles to spin but nothing too bad, so I can't understand why I would be banned. I have an account there which still works.

    Any ideas?

Just noticed the same thing, cant get in to ezines articles have not tried other article sites yet but this is strange.

I have a few accounts under a few names all with unique original content written by me so can only think if I am banned it is because of more than one account.

Anyone got any ideas on this and any ideas on how i access? How do i use proxy from my own computer?

Interesting that you're from Scotland, as I am too. Can you please tell me where about in Scotland you are, and also your ISP? It may be an IP range ban that's affected both of us.

Obviously feel free to PM me the info if you don't want it posted publicly.

No worries I am in M/Well.

Using Talk Talk from the Holytown exchange so IP varies.

Cant really see it being Scottish issue? But no one else jumped in and of course we have a lot more from Scotland.

Also just tried and got in? Where are you located maybe we Scottish ones could get together sometime.

Funnily enough it's now working for me as well, and I've been trying for about 2 weeks, although not every day.

I live in the Highlands, but I use Talk Talk as well, again with varying IP, so I wonder whether it was a Talk Talk IP range which was banned.

Try doing a traceroute. Open up a prompt and type in (press enter after):

    Code:
    tracert ezinearticles
    *

Also try pinging it (the same as with tracert, but replace it with ping). It's always possible that there's a routing issue along the way.

*I can't post links yet, but you know which bit goes on the end. :)

If that's the case, try an alternative DNS option such as OpenDNS or Google DNS. My ISP's DNS is also unreliable and found a big difference when I switched to an alternative DNS server (a lot quicker for look ups and more reliable - BeThere's DNS servers used to drop out a lot).

Solved my problem, binned Talktalk and moving to new provider, got sick fed up of slow down at peak times.
