Very addicting, almost as addicting as gambling but as with anything else it takes a lot of research and getting good at it.

FB is at 38 bucks a share. Although its book value per share is only $5 dollars a share.

    Why?

My buddy currency trades. Just like anything else, you have to keep on top of information and think ahead. Buying low and selling high is a novel concept, but even if something has trends, there's always something else that impacts it for better or worse.

    Yes.

Idea - go back to March and stop me from selling my LEAP contracts to buy QCOR at 25 that expire in 2014.

For one thing Facebook is starting to mature as company now so investors are taking them a bit more seriously. They are getting into real profitable things like video ads which boosts investor confidence and I believe their earnings report and guidance were pretty solid.

It was over-valued right off the bat with their IPO. The revenue stream is based off of targeted advertising from all their user submitted data. Their current methods are garbage but perhaps the multimedia approach will pull it's weight for investors.

I used that site quite often, and that was before online coupons were a standard strategy. Wish I knew they were going public in advance.

Use to trade Forex. Couldn't trade stocks as school takes up that time.

I have a feeling their earnings report will drive them up at least 12%

Yea not as much anymore, been trying to focus on building businesses to have more stable revenue. Might get back into it once I have a stable income coming in from these side ventures.

For long term, I'd like to know how they plan to diversify if not just back themselves in the current motion. They don't need to re-invent themselves, but I'd be more eager to see this then just a quarterly report.

I like knowing in advance about things. It's not insider knowledge, but it doesn't take a keen eye either. It just brings perspective and allows me to part with my money intelligently.

If I had known in advance about RTMN I would have invested. Apple, if I was older, without a doubt, even with the 1st gen shitty ipods. Facebook, not so much. Google if I had the money I would have.

Unfortuantely indies that get popular don't go public. Those that aren't indies, aren't going to hold up on a puzzle based\birds eye view\platform time after time.
