blackhatters I could really use your feedback
not sure why this is happening

I have 500 hotmail accounts being forwarded to a single MASTER HOTMAIL acct
all "junk filters" are set to "low" all accts were created between 4 to 5 months ago
but within the past 1 to 2 weeks I notice that that the master acct is only getting
about 10% of the forwarded mail?

IT'S BEEN REDUCED TO A TRICKLE

So in an effort to try to understand what's happening I logged into about 30 of
the 500 forwarding accounts, and I see incoming mail is winding up in the "JUNK MAIL" folders?

YET the "junk mail filter" is still set to "low" for all the accounts, EVEN THE MASTER......??

and it is the same type of messages from the same source
and virtually identical to the messages I've always received
    ?

for every "100" messages, only "7 to 15" make
    it to the master account?

everything is still actively forwarded to the master, I'm perplexed !!! I even went to another master account today, THAT I'VE NEVER USED, AND TRIED TO SEND SOME MAIL TO THE FORWARDING ACCOUNTS FOR THAT MASTER, AND THEY WENT INTO "JUNK MAIL" ON THE FORWARDING ACCOUNTS AS WELL, the same exact behavior?

so horrible a situation this is, I found myself on my balcony prepared
to jump to my death! and then I remembered I live on the ground floor!

any idea? anyone had this happen to them?

If your messages are coming in through a forwarding service, like people emailing @craigslist.org emails which are then forwarded to your hotmail, then my guess would be hotmail is blacklisting some if not all of the servers that are doing the forwarding. You say that they are all coming from the same source so I am guessing its something along those lines, hotmail/live/msn did blacklist craigslists servers 4 or 5 months ago, so wouldnt surprise me if they have blacklisted the source as well.

I would suggest creating a new hotmail with a clean IP and cleared cookies and don't set forwarding, and then see if that one junkmails the emails as well. If it does then you can pretty much rule out anything on your end and its probably hotmail blocking the senders servers.

    thanks john,

but if that's true then wouldn't all origins from that
    same source be "blacklisted"
    ?

and therefore other would have the same issue?
I guess that would be true if they were using hotmail..

john any other possibility you might be aware of?

If they are all from the same place add them to the 'safe senders' list in the options should stop them going to junk.

    cheers
