market samurai pulls from the old adwords tool and when i compare searches in exact match they are TOTALLY different from the new adword kw tool. It makes it very difficult because market samurai gives a lot more keywords when you press generate. But if you paste those into the adwords kw tool, it will only pull the first 100. I "think" if you do show results for "ideas containing my search terms" it will have only bring up the searches for your keywords.

Basically it'd be nice if i could find something to find the exact keyword searches from the new google adwords tool anyone have a tool for this? I'm just going back and forth with ms and adwords, or i could just use adwords tool by itself. But a lot of extracting and filtering duplicates, and then importing back to MS so i can check competition = HEADACHE

    is this just me?

This happened after they removed the Beta thing with the new adwords keyword tool!

Yeah it's really annoying, One of my keyword shows 5000 (exact) daily serches by MS, but new google adword tool shows only 18000(exact) searches/month :(...

I still use the old Google KW tool. Just go to new version and click on 'previous interface' in top right hand corner.

Well until it gets fixed i have to use the new adwords tool to kw research and it's really hard =( Because i need to find kws and it doesn't generate that much then i put it in ms, then i get keywords from market samurai and plug it in adwords tool 100 at a time. Lot of back and forth. THEn i check competition.

OLD GOOGLE KW TOOL is totally outdated u know that right mambo? the searches you get from there are wack....MS pulls from old kw tool. And when i rechecked ALL of my searches on new google adwords were DIFFERENT from market samurai. The new one has a lot less searches which brings me to believe it's a lot more accurate.

This was reported on here a few days ago and I also noticed it too. Google must be doing some type of update along with unleashing Google Instafail.

I think the new google keyword tool is a piece of sh*t.
I continue using the old keyword tool for that reason.
I bet market samurai uses the old keyword tool for the same reason.

Try to avoid using old KWT. The new one is really better. And as it is written above, MS pulls data from the old interface database. I know it is not a toal cure but may I recommend you to use Semrush?

ROFL POS? Because what it works? had u even compared MS results to what traffic you get? I've checked numerous of my sites and not one of them is even close to what MS says. Which is why I think the new one is more accurate

Yes, the new keyword tool is most definitely a POS. And not because it works but precisely because it doesn't. In my opinion it is designed for noobs only. (so it may work for noobs)

You are referring to the broad match in the old keyword tool, right?
Boy! The broad match was ALWAYS wrong in terms of search numbers. It is not something new.
And if you've ever even used Market Samurai, or more precisely, if you *know* how to use MS, then you should notice the nice little column titled "PBR". Guess what that column is for? You have never noticed that column, have you?
Try hovering the mouse over the column title and read what it says.
And if you apply that percentage to the number in the "Searches" column (and multiply that by 30 days), you may discover that the number you get is very close in that new shiny POS called new keyword tool.

So, MS does display the correct information if you know how to use it.
The new keyword tool on the other hand is a total and annoying POS if you want to research keywords. The old tool is WAY better for that.

    P.S.
Of course, I don't sit there all day with the calculator trying to apply those percentages in the PBR column to the number in the Searches column. For me a quick glance at the percentage in the PBR column is enough.
Also, above the keywords (in MS) you can filter the keywords to have a certain minimum PBR percentage. I usually have that filter set to "15" to filter out the garbage.

Also, I'm sorry to say that but people who say that the "old keyword tool is totally outdated" identify themselves as noobs.
Nothing there is outdated. Google's link to the old keyword tool says:
    "Previous Interface."
Now, do you know the difference between "data" and "interface"?

Where in the new keyword tool's interface can you get the exact match/searches displayed? Nowhere, right?
So, why do you then claim such BS?

So, all you have to do in MS is to set the "Match Type" to "Phrase" and voila! MS will then display a very similar number (calculated per day) as you see in that POS called new keyword tool.
