I did a 1 million scrapebox direct blast to one of my money site which is in a very highly competitive niche.
No side-effects though, it manage to climb a few spots up instead.

Surprised you didn't get knocked down. I ordered a MNS and the guy gave me a 'bonus' of 10,000 wiki links without my permission and I went from first page rankings to not in the top 100. I am really pissed! So don't do anymore blasts like that anymore, not worth the risk.

Yeah, I do this. Not 1 million though, that's a bit crazy.

I only do this for about 10,000 backlinks each month and it's definitely managed to climb a lot with no side effects.

As long as you have a high domain authority I don't think a scrapebox blast will harm your site.

I would think the real BIG HURT from G will be when all of those links start to get deleted...

I will usually blast a new site, it helps with the total backlink count and it's not like it's going to be ranking in the top 10 in a month anyway. After the first month though, all high quality dripped links.

Haha. You nutter. I've never had the balls to do this. I have a few sites which are just sitting there doing nothing, neither earning money or getting any traffic, and I've been tempted to do this a few times, but then thought about it and chickened out. I always think that maybe, in the future, I may have some need for this site. I might just bite the bullet though and test one out for the hell of it.

I might be tempted to do this in one condition.. to suddenly increase the variety of anchor texts. Maybe for using raw url's or click here kinds, to save a site from a possible penguin hit. Otherwise, I'd be nuts to do that :)

How is the anchor text variation? Did you use a lot?

Apparently it helps your site if you got a lot of authority...

I've done some scrapebox blasts to my money sites too. Got them ranked #1 and still holds the position even if the backlinks get deleted. They were new EMD domains.

It's just a matter of time before you get knocked off the SERP for outright spamming especially when your overall anchor text percentage exceeds Google quota.

If you limit PR 3-4+, use slow poster w/ randomized delay, a million text variations, ETC

Eh, I still wouldn't do it, doesn't look natural. Think about it... If I can look at your link history and tell you're a spammer - you think Google can't? If it doesn't kill you tomorrow, it might hurt you later.... that's just my take though
