Most of you have heard but if you have not they are opening up the .xxx, pre-registration started yesterday I am pretty sure..

Just wanted to know if anyone had started buying these yet, or had any thoughts about them?

I love how, with Godaddy, if you WANT to buy a domain name you have to click through a billion pages to get to the cart. But if you just want to check for the availability of an .xxx domain, you're instantly plopped right into checkout.

It's amazing how one man chose SEX as his domain name and now it's valued at $6 million. But now that he can add the .xxx to become sex.xxx the value most just keep going up.

Well, i hope it turns out to be a good investment, since i have pre-ordered one domain name :D lol i know it's kinda very expensive like 10x times of the classic .com, and reading all about the future of these domains really scares me because most of the people believe they will end up cheap, but i have taken the risk let's see where the cookie crumbles.

It's risky because a lot of the .xxx domains are copyrighted by the LLC

I actually ordered a simple name am pretty sure that it's not a trademark name and if i don't get that name ill ask for refund. But seriously am having a feeling it may turn out to be a good deal later, but you never know and the fact it was launched yesterday all goody names were already gone, so that tempted me lol.

I wonder if Google will give preference to xxx if its actually an adult search. If they do then xxx are going to be worth a fortune, if not they'll be complete trash.

Then its a matter of just how adult does the search have to be to get a SERP bonus -- escorts qualify? Sex toys? Male enhancement pills? Bondage?

And THEN ... even if Google gives preference to xxx domains in SERPS on adult related searches ... the question next is does Google give a bonus for EMD. Right now they give EMD bonus on .com, .org, .net. I don't believe they give EMD bonus on .info, .co or anything else. If they don't give EMD, then the prime domains are pretty worthless too ... worth no more than an xxx with no keywords.

So the big gamble for a $99 domain is does Google give adult search bonus in SERPs for xxx domains AND does Google give EMD bonus on xxx domains. Without those 2 things, its not worth it.

Anyone know of any better deals for a .xxx? I thought it would be cool to register some good ones, but I don't want to pay $100, or even $70. I was thinking maybe $10 like .coms go for... There are still some gems available.
