Apparantly, the domains bought from crazydomain are not activated right away and can take forever! I received an email saying it might take 24 hours and it has been more than 96 hours! After contacting the customer service they asked for proof of my id for a random fraud verification or some crap like that. I sent them my passport?s copy and another 48 hours have passed but no joy! The domain is still showing as available if I am searching for it through godaddy! Should I just buy it from godaddy and ask crazydomain for a refund? Are they always this horrible?

Crazy domains have a really bad support, you can only get support if you ring them up.
Get a refund mate and go to godaddy

I made the mistake of buying a handful of domains from them and even though it took forever, they still delivered as promised which was good. I just don't want any of them to go down because I have heard about how bad their support is and I don't really want to deal with that and a bad site at the same time.

They finally activated it. I will probably transfer it to godaddy/namecheap next year :S

Do NOT get near crazydomains.co.uk, they are absolutely useless and borderline scam. I had the same occurring, I decided to test these guys with some expired domains and because they took so long, the domains were taken by someone else. They also charged my card after sending them my ID and card picture (I blurred just about all as I don't trust anyone with my card). They even sent me another email telling me to send them my details AGAIN after 48 hours LOL so they had me waiting for 48 hours and then asked for all my details again. Bunch of useless noobs.

I sent them an email asking them to cancel everything and they still charged me for the domains. Thank god I make a lot of cash and the bank has issued me the highest card available, so it only took a quick call to the office to get everything sorted.

Crazydomains are a scam. They do not tell you that they will take so long and will screw up the process. I rather give an extra 6-8 quid to namecheap and get my domains in the moment. Hope this helped.

Namecheap is great. You can also find some excellent local registrars. I am with a local one for my country, for everything else I use Namecheap.
